Unlocking the Secrets of Matter & Reactions
The Chemistry Laboratory at Al Rushed American Private School is designed to support both standard and AP-level chemistry coursework. Fully ventilated, professionally fitted, and safety-certified, the lab enables students to conduct real chemical experiments under the supervision of qualified chemistry teachers. Students investigate organic and inorganic reactions, develop laboratory report-writing skills, and prepare for the practical components of their chemistry assessments including EmSAT and AP Chemistry.
Organic Chemistry
Synthesis reactions, esterification, organic compound identification, and chromatography separation techniques.
Acids, Bases & Titration
pH measurement, acid-base neutralization, redox reactions, and volumetric titration with standardized solutions.
Inorganic Analysis
Flame tests, salt identification, precipitation reactions, and qualitative analysis of cations and anions.
Lab Equipment & Instruments
Lab Safety & Protective Equipment
Lab coats, safety goggles, and chemical-resistant gloves are mandatory for all students during practical sessions. Fume hoods must be active during all volatile chemical procedures. Eyewash stations and first-aid kits are installed at every bench station. Students must complete a lab safety orientation before their first experiment session.
